After spending most of their adult lives as singles, Ellen and Matt (finally) met through mutual friends at the couple's engagement party. Ellen was not impressed with Matt's tardiness or attire for the event, but Matt immediately noticed Ellen and her curly hair after she dropped a glass of champagne on the kitchen floor during the party and was eager to get to know her better at the wedding.
